Gwen Welles portrays Sueleen Gay, a young waitress and talentless aspiring singer in this clip from a 1975 film “ Nashville “. While attempting to perform at an all-male event, Sueleen gets booed off the stage for her poor singing. The show runners tell her that she still might save the day and receive another job offer from them if she rescues the performance by stripping naked. Reluctantly, she agrees. over 2 years ago@lovescmnf – Juice Newton had to strip to advance her career? Nice to see a young Ned Beatty as one of the show runners. Sadly, he died in 2021.
over 2 years agoAs CMNF, this is a great scene as the only woman, and not a professional stripper, in a room full of men in coat & ties strips naked. She seems to be in a trance and not embarrassed as she removes her clothes.
