Thanks to everyone for participating. All of the issues has either been solved (choppy playback on laptops solved 90%, but people have this problem even with YouTube), or people having them didn’t report them in the comments thus it’s clear they don’t care enough about their ability to play videos here anyway. The new player stays.

It plays fine on my Android 4.4.4 using Chrome 28. On the laptop using Chrome 45 on Windows 7, it is slow and choppy. It has to stop and buffer a lot.

Works fine for me on Windows 7-Chrome, and Kindle Fire – Silk. Percentage of commenters with issues is similar to percentage of voters with issues. Some of it may be trolls but probably most couldn’t be bothered to leave a comment.
