An excellent ENF / CMNF clip from an English-subtitled ZENRA.net video sent by Luke Peterson . Watch the full movie (2:51:18 long) here .

Thanks to everyone for participating. All of the issues has either been solved (choppy playback on laptops solved 90%, but people have this problem even with YouTube), or people having them didn’t report them in the comments thus it’s clear they don’t care enough about their ability to play videos here anyway. The new player stays.

>>Advice: be sure to end all other videos’ playback with STOP button (not pause, not by clicking on the video) before playing a video you want to watch. In my experience on my netbook (not my desktop PC which has no problems at all) it helps to achieve smooth playback.

Thanks for mentioning your OS and video behavior, but for the future posters, PLEASE ALSO DO NOT FORGET TO INCLUDE YOUR BROWSER NAME (visit https://www.whatismybrowser.com/ for instant auto-detection if you’re not sure). Or just use the following phrase for a Google search: what is my browser

I do make sure. For example, when notified about problems with laptops, I checked it on my own laptop which I forgot to do initially, and indeed the playback was choppy. Now it’s much better. This is just one example.

That could have been funny if it wasn’t so frustrating:

Just removed the old player code totally from the main page (i.e. enfhub.com root). This has also made playback of the latest video considerably smoother on my low-end win7 netbook.

techmann : thanks for reporting. I have encoded a new version of the file using lower frame rate and it seems to work much better than before on my low-end Win7 netbook with integrated graphics card. Much better but not 100% perfect.

Anyone else experiencing the “buffering only initially, then works fine” effect? I experienced this when testing with Opera browser (latest version), now it’s playing fine every time. Please check if this is the case for you if you’ve got problems (relaunch the browser and refresh the page before trying again).

And before you say that the old player was just fine, remember that the percentage of mobile users was 25%, and most of them couldn’t watch videos at all. And this percentage is bound to only grow.
